This place is just perfect. It's in the middle of nowhere but it's ideal. The location is superb. If you were to have a wedding, a party, going for dinner or just go to the pub and have a drink. Ideal. The food is 10 out of 10 and the staff are so good and professional. I literally have no complaints and I can't wait to go back. I got the beef roast and it was a 10 out of 10.
I had a bit of a mixed experience here. I had heard how amazing the restaurant was, so I had to give it a go. Once upon a time this was a Michelin Star restaurant, but I would now say it was more gourmet pub grub. If you're looking for a fine dining experience, then you won't find it here. What you will find is a hearty, large, freshly cooked meal. The vegan menu however is imaginative, which was a pleasant surprise.
Now, let's talk about desserts...they were out of this world. Truly delicious and well presented. They are the jewel in this restaurant's crown , for sure.
The waitress who looked after our table for the evening was, unfortunately, quite surly and couldn't even crack a smile. Not what you expect from a restaurant. Thankfully the young guy who served us our after dinner drinks was lovely and pleasant. Perhaps the waitress was having an off day...
Dogs are welcome in the cosy bar, where you can also enjoy nibbles from a bar menu, while enjoying a cocktail from their impressive cocktail menu.
Plenty of parking can be found here, along with disabled access and a small play area for kids. On a final note...they could do with regularly checking on the toilets. 😉
My wife & I received a Gift Voucher to visit this Restaurant in celebration of our Diamond Wedding Anniversary in June of this year. We were DELIGHTED to find that EVERYTHING about this place was to our taste! We received a lovely welcome, the Service was first class and the Food was pure excellence!!! Chef even took the trouble to send greetings to us both with my wife's dessert👍!!! We give it 10 out of 10.
